Understand Your Medical Coverage
Beck offers two medical plans for you to choose between – the HDHP HSA medical plan and the Surest PPO medical plan.
HSA Medical Plan
Surest Medical Plan
The Surest Medical Plan operates on a sliding copay basis, with copay amounts that vary by provider and service. By comparing options before receiving care, you may be able to lower your out-of-pocket costs. The plan has no deductible, and all copays count toward your annual out-of-pocket maximum.
Pharmacy
Your pharmacy coverage is now bundled with your medical plan, giving you one ID card, one plan, and an easier benefits experience. To help you understand your benefit options and make informed choices.

Through Beck’s BeWell Benefit, you can access 8 counseling sessions per issue, per year. You can also take advantage of up to 6 Wellbeing Coach visits to help with personal, professional or wellness goals. Beck's BeWell Benefit is free, confidential and available to your entire household. When logging in click "My Benefits" and enter “The Beck Group” as the organization.

Q1. Where can I find my medical ID card?
A: You can print medical ID cards by logging into your UnitedHealthcare or Surest account.
Pro tip: download the appropriate app and add the ID card to your digital wallet.
Q2. What about dental and vision ID cards?
Q3. Can I estimate costs for care & prescriptions up front?
A: Yes! Both UnitedHealthcare and Surest have tools within your account to help you understand costs up front and avoid surprises.
Q4. Can I get a second opinion for a treatment or procedure?
A: Yes! You have FREE access to www.2nd.md for board certified second opinions.
Q5. How can I ensure that what I’m being charged is correct?
A: If you’re on the Surest medical plan, use the app to search for care and costs on the go! If the amount your provider’s office is saying you owe at the time of your visit does not match the copay you’re seeing within your app, ask them to call the number on the back of your medical ID card to verify the copay amount.
If you’re on the HSA medical plan, you will receive an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) from Unitedhealthcare once your provider has submitted the claim to them. You will also receive a bill from your provider. Make sure that the amount you’re being billed by your provider matches the amount the EOB is showing that you owe.
Q6. Can I submit for reimbursement if I forgot to use my HSA/FSA debit card when I paid for my provider visit/prescription?
A: Yes! If you’re on the Surest medical plan, you’ll manage your FSA through UnitedHealthcare. Use the same Healthsafe ID and password you use to login to your Surest account, and click on “Claims & Accounts” and then “Submit a Claim” under your Healthcare Flexible Spending Account.
If you’re on the HSA medical plan, login to your UnitedHealthcare account and click on “View account” next to the balance shown for your HSA bank account on the left side of the dashboard. Click “Manage Your Optum Bank HSA” and then “Reimburse Myself”.
Q7. I am trying to get pregnant/am pregnant/have a child(ren). What resources are available to me as I navigate this season?
A: Regardless of the season you’re in, Maven is great resource for you. Maven is free to those enrolled in Beck’s medical plan and offers support through fertility, pregnancy, parenting and menopause. Learn more about Maven here.
